The Videmonte Mountain Village has an identity strongly marked by the rye culture. D. Céu, together with Mr. Manuel Proença, with the Vim do Monte project, combine the purest tradition with the evolution of times, and it is for this reason that they open the doors of the wood oven in their house to all who, by appointment, want to know more about bread making.
This is a bread that combines the mastery of the people, with rye harvested in the most beautiful high altitude fields of Serra da Estrela. Visits to the oven are open every Friday.
It is also worth trying the biscuits and infusions (gorgee, echinacea, nettle, beautiful light, elderberry, sage, good shepherd's wort, plantain, mallow, lemon balm, lime snapper, dandelion, rosemary, pennyroyal, yarrow ), aromatic herbs, liqueurs and honey. These can be purchased from the online store.
