Poço Negro Weir

Is located in the upper stretch of the Alva River, downstream from Sabugueiro Mountain Village. This was the first weir to be built in 1909, with the objective of feeding the generators of the Desterro I Power station, where today the Natural Electricity Museum is located. To reach this weir, in order to observe and enjoy all its surrounding beauty, you will have to follow the trail that begins next to the N339 road, near the village of Sabugueiro.
