The Chapel of Our Lady of Protection

Located in the center of the village, the chapel of Our Lady of Protection, was a parochial church until the construction of the church of Our Lady of Rosary, in the 20th century. The building formed with a rectangular plan and granite facades has a portal and traditional window. The left side façade features a window and two portals, one of which bears the inscription “1754” at the top. Close to the right side of the façade, there is a bell tower, torn on all four sides by arched eyelets and a pyramidal crown, topped by a vane and an iron cross with an engraving “ANQUE 1935”. Inside, it is possible to see the pulpit and the gilded altar, where the image of Our Lady of Protection can be found. In the churchyard there is a cross evocative of the foundation of nationality and the 300 years of restoration of independence.
