The Lion’s Fountain

The Lion’s Fountain is located next to the Saint Catherine’s Chapel, also known as Lion’s Chapel, is considered one of the oldest fountains in the Mountain Village of Alpedrinha. The fountain has four steps and a small landing at the top. In addition, until 1898 there was a square tank that was replaced by a stone shell. It is visible the image of an animal that although it is difficult to perceive due to the wear of the granite, many believe to be a Lion.
