Roman Way of Alcongosta

The Roman Way of Alcongosta represents the remains of the Roman road that connected the Alcongosta Mountain Villages to that of Alpedrinha and has remained until today, revealing its importance at the time of the Roman occupation.

It is a connection between North and South that has been used for about 2000 years. Associated with this sidewalk are other important heritage elements such as the lagariças excavated in the rock.
