The starting point of this circular route of high physical difficulty is in the town of Manteigas, which is part of the network of Mountain Villages, and has a total distance of 66km. This circuit runs through the heart of the Serra da Estrela mountain range and visits the mountain villages of Verdelhos, Vale da Amoreira, Sameiro and the mountain resort of Penhas da Saúde. On this route, your "travelling partner" is the Glacier Valley, with its remarkable natural heritage, and Covão D'Ametade, which has glacial origins and is the perfect place to admire the beauty of the granite outcrops of Cântaros and Covão Cimeiro.

A circular route of high physical difficulty with a total distance of 80 kilometres. The circuit passes through the following Motanha villages in the municipality of Guarda: Videmonte, Prados, Cadafaz, Rapa, Trinta, Fernão Joanes, Famalicão de Serra and Valhelhas. These are plateau villages with a strong rural component and linked to the textile industry, where the following points of interest stand out in the landscape: Caldeirão Dam, Valhelhas River Beach and the challenging Mondego Walkways.

A circular route of high physical difficulty, its starting point is the mountain village of Folgosinho in the municipality of Gouveia. This circuit runs along the northern slope of the Serra da Estrela mountain range at altitudes of around 1426 metres, and includes the mountain villages of Melo, Mangualde da Serra, Aldeias and Penhas Douradas. These villages include the important Castro remains of Folgosinho, the Casais de Folgosinho from where you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama that covers the entire Alto Mondego area, the Vale do Rossim reservoir and the Penhas Douradas mountain resort, which is worth a stop to admire the glacial valley of the Zêzere, with its large granite blocks and wild pine forests.

An easy circular route with a total distance of 59 kilometres. Passing through the history-filled streets of the mountain villages of Algodres, Figueiró da Granja and Figueiró da Serra is an inspiration for those who visit them. You can take a break at the viewpoints of Comborço and Outeiro, where you'll see a wide panorama from the valleys of the Vila Chã and Cortiçô streams to the foothills of the Serra da Estrela, in the east and south quadrants. You'll also pass by the imposing Linhares Castle.

The starting point of this circular route of moderate physical difficulty is in the mountain village of Prados, which is part of the network of mountain villages, and has a total distance of 67 kilometres. This route passes by the Rapa swings in the Lomba mountain range, leaning against the Rapa geodesic landmark at an altitude of 990 metres, overlooking the Mondego Valley. Also noteworthy on this route is the Caldeirão dam and river beach at the north-eastern end of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park.
