Art to Celebrate the Guardians of the Mountains!
The city of Guarda will host the first edition of the Art Competition ‘The Guardians of the Mountains’. This ideas competition by the Mountain Village Network is part of the Transform Tourism Programme and aims to pay homage to one of the most important and symbolic communities in the territory's social and cultural matrix, the Queijeiras da Serra da Estrela.
This is your chance to create an artistic installation that will mark the history of the region! And this is just the start of an artistic journey that will take in all the towns in the Serra da Estrela Natural Park.
The Art Competition aims to connect artists and communities, valuing tradition and local culture.
