Caçoilas, one of the most typical dishes of Aldeia de Montanha do Sabugueiro on feast days, requires a laborious and time-consuming preparation by experienced hands, this is a ritual that is repeated on feast days that is passed down through generations.

Tonight, the proposal, for lovers of regional cuisine, is to taste the meat cooked in the oven's caçoilas, whether in improvised taverns or in the village restaurants, but also to experience a unique tradition, getting firewood in the oven, cooking the bread, and contact with the population and the bustle of the community oven.

Night of Caçoilas is a mandatory proposal. A tradition that aims to make known the gastronomy and traditions of this charming village, but also challenges us to live a unique experience in contact with the essence of the village.
