Melo, Gouveia
Wed, 02 oct '24 - 21:00
Sun, 06 oct '24 - 19:00
From the mountain village of Melo, located on the northern slope of Serra da Estrela, which has always been the ‘home’ and ‘eternal village’ of Vergílio Ferreira, the municipality of Gouveia, in partnership with the Mountain Village Network, is promoting the 1st literary festival of Serra da Estrela, which takes in some of the emblematic spaces of Vergílio Ferreira's work.
The ‘In the Name of the Earth’ Literary Festival is an event celebrating the word and literature, which debuts with an edition full of words in the mouths of those who write, dedicated to all those who read and listen to them, taking books everywhere.
This Festival is part of the Animation Plan of the Mountain Villages Network, within the scope of the PROVERE Mountain Villages 2030 Collective Efficiency Strategy.
